I am a Republican candidate for Sheriff in York County Maine. I am also a local pastor in a Bible Believing, Bible Teaching, Bible Preaching Church. I have extensive education and experience in criminal justice as well as pastoral ministry. I served in a number of law enforcement agencies as well as serving as a professor of criminal justice. Over the years I have served a number of churches in leadership capacity. Furthermore, I have been active in the Republican Party as a delegate to Town, State, National Conventions and run for political office.

Accused of False Swearing
I was accused of False Swearing. This accusation is a crime and I should be charged with a crime, tried, and convicted if this actually happened. Until then in America a person is considered innocent. This video explains that the form that was downloaded from the Secretary of States office, was actually the wrong form . I filled out the form ACCORDING TO THE SECRETARY OF STATES DIRECTION. So how can I be accused of wrong doing when I did what I was told? One reason , the independent wanted to push me off the ballot so the opposition would be reduced. SHAMEFUL !!! This accusation is not true and was over ruled by Secretary of State Office.
Republican Chair Favors Independent Rather Than Fellow Republican
The Republican Chair holds a theory that Republicans can’t win in York County. Therefore, if an Independent is supported he could beat the Democrat. This became very evident when I was summonsed to the Secretary of State Office for a hearing. This hearing cost me $2,000 and my opposition included the chainman of my own party and an Independent who announce that he is running for the position of Sheriff in York County Maine. Together they brought accusations against me which were thrown out by the Secretary of State. They should reimburse me, the chair should repent, and the Independent should drop out.
Supervision Delusion
I was summonsed to Augusta for a hearing and accused of not being qualified to run for sheriff because of lack of supervision. This video explains that this accusation was wrong and trumped by the ruling of the Secretary of State . But my opponents still repeat this shameful lie. This video also explains why there are restrictions on those that seek the office of sheriff.
Thou Shalt Not Bear False Witness
In March at the Hearing at the Secretary of State’s Office two accusations, lies were repeated. One being the King Collusion and the other unqualified delusion which were dismissed with the full understanding of the law. This video seeks to clarify the matter.
Summons to a Hearing
David Corbett was summoned to the Maine Secretary of State’s Office. Heidi Sampson, Chair of the York County Republicans, and Briann Pelleren, an announced independent candidate for Sheriff, contested his qualifications. The financial cost to David Corbett was $2,000, and they lost. They failed to read the entire law. Their actions were politically motivated.
